How to Set Up Student Groups for Portfolio Advisors
Student groups are created automatically to help advisors keep track of and support their students. This works a bit like creating a class on the fly.
Here's how it works:
Getting Started
- Add students to your advisory list: You can do this in three ways:
- Use the Wellness Tab in Student360 to claim a student
- Add them through the Portfolio panel in Student360
- Students can add you as their advisor in their portfolio
- Let the system do the work: Once you're assigned as an advisor:
- A new "Portfolio Advising" group is created for you
- Your students are automatically added to this group
- Find your student group: It's easy to access:
- Go to Student360
- Look for "Portfolio Advising" in your groups list

How Groups Work
Everything happens automatically:
- New students are added to your group when you become their advisor
- Students are removed when they're no longer your advisees
👋Note: You don't need to create or update these groups yourself - the system handles everything automatically!

- Check how your students are doing
- Send messages to your students
