Use these answers when you need a quick next step for a file, status, or run message.
Why do so many integrations say Never Ran?
The catalog includes integrations your district may never use. They start inactive, so Never Ran is expected until an integration is configured and enabled. Check only the integrations you expect to be running.
What’s the difference between Not Run and Never Ran?
Not Run usually means there was no usable file to process. Check delivery, the file name, and whether records were included.
Never Ran means the integration has never executed. If you just enabled it, allow the next scheduled run. If it should already be running, check Active and setup with your Abre contact.
Use the status and full message together. Not Run can show a missing-file message; some Success or Warning entries show no message.
The status is green. Why hasn’t my dashboard changed?
Dashboards refresh once daily, early in the morning. Allow the next refresh after processing. Also read the run message: a successful run can skip an unchanged file or load no new records.
Why can’t I find my uploaded file on the Files tab?
The Files tab lists your recurring-delivery SFTP folder. One-time imports follow a separate path. Check the integration’s status and Sync History to confirm the upload result.
Does one upload keep data current?
An upload loads that file once. Use recurring delivery from your source system for data that needs ongoing updates. Coordinate new connections with Abre Support.
Can I remove an upload or change the school year afterward?
Support handles removal of one-time uploads. Check the file and school year before importing. If either was wrong, email support@abre.com for help.
Which file formats should I use?
Use .csv or tab-delimited .txt, following the integration’s required headers and layout. Check Actions > Upload > File Format Requirements before importing. If no format is shown and you don’t have confirmed instructions, ask Support before proceeding.
Does the file name matter?
For recurring SFTP delivery, the name must match what Abre expects or your configured Custom File Name. Set a custom name through Actions > Edit > Custom File Name > SAVE.
For a one-time upload, Abre handles the name on arrival.
Can I change files from the Files tab?
Use the Files tab to review names, sizes, and last modified times. To work with the files themselves, connect through an SFTP client using the connection details available under SFTP Credentials.
What does RUN SYNC do?
[Verification needed before publishing: the current button label is RUN SYNC. Confirm which integrations support it, what it checks, and whether an integration must be Active.]
What do common messages mean?
Read the full message first. The same file issue can appear under different statuses, and some messages have no code.
| Code or message | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| File skipped: no changes detected | The file matches the one already processed. | Usually no action. Check the export if you expected new records. |
| 1001: File successfully copied | The file reached its destination. | Continue checking the processing result and allow the next dashboard refresh. |
| 1031: No data loaded | The run finished but wrote no records, usually because nothing was new. | Check the file if you expected new data. |
| 1033: File processed successfully | Processing succeeded. | Allow the next dashboard refresh. |
| 1030 or 1037: No file found | The expected file wasn’t found. | Check delivery and the expected or custom file name. |
| 1028 or 1015: File is empty | The file contains no data. | Check the source export and confirm records are returned. |
| 1029 or 1036: Header row only | Column names are present, but records are missing. | Review date ranges and filters, then confirm the export returns rows. |
| 1038: Missing valid header row | The first row doesn’t contain the expected column names. | Correct the header row to match the integration’s requirements. |
| 1034: Check name, format, and data | Abre couldn’t use the file. | Check those three items; contact Support if unresolved. |
| 1024: No valid data row found | Abre found no usable records. | Contact Support right away. |
| 1023: No schools found for district | School matching needs investigation. | Contact Support right away. |
| 1035: Unknown error, contact support | The issue needs investigation. | Contact Support right away. |
When should I email Support?
Email support@abre.com right away for authorization or login failures, district/school/class matching errors, undefined or unknown processing errors, failures with no message, or a message you can’t identify.
For Network error, Transfer failed, Unknown error copying file, or Remote file too young; skipping, allow the next scheduled run. Contact Support if the same message appears on two consecutive runs.
Include your site ID, integration name, run date and time, error code if available, and the exact message. A screenshot of the Sync History entry helps Support get started.
