Customizing Your Behavior Report Templates
Abre's behavior reports now offer flexible print options that allow you to customize what information appears on your behavior reports. By adding optional parameters to your report templates, you can include specific details like behavior codes, dates, signature lines, and more to match your district's policies and communication preferences. These settings apply district-wide and work seamlessly across all schools, giving you complete control over your behavior documentation.
Enabling and customizing Behavior Report Templates requires Behavior Administrator permissions.
How to Enable Optional Fields
To customize your behavior reports:
- Navigate to Behavior
- Click the Settings tab
- Locate the PDF Options field.
Simply add the optional parameters you want after your report name using a "+" symbol. You can use parameters individually or combine them to create the perfect format for your needs.
Example: Notification of Suspension (OH) + days
Available Report Types
You can add different behavior reports by typing in the name of the report in the PDF Options Field. Type (or copy + paste) the following report names below:
- Summary Report
- Intent to Suspend (OH)
- Recommendation for Expulsion (OH)
- Notification of Suspension (OH)
Available Options by Report Type
Syntax is important. Follow this general outline:
report name + parameter + parameter. Include a space before and after the “+” sign. The order of parameters is flexible.
Intent to Suspend (OH) Template
The Intent to Suspend template supports the following optional parameters:
+ behavior- Displays the behavior code on the report+ date- Displays the consequence date(s) on the report
Example: To include both the behavior code and dates, use: Intent to Suspend (OH) + behavior + date
If no parameters are added, both elements will be hidden by default.
Notification of Suspension Template
The Notification of Suspension template offers three customizable options:
+ student- Adds the student signature line, date line, and acknowledgement text+ days- Displays the number of suspension days+ recommend- Shows the recommendation for expulsion (yes/no)
Example: To include all three elements, use: Notification of Suspension (OH) + student + days + recommend
You can mix and match these parameters based on your district's needs.
Behavior Summary Report
The Behavior Summary Report includes one optional parameter:
+ parent- Adds the parent/guardian signature line and date line
Example: To include the parent signature section, use: Summary Report + parent
Without this parameter, the signature section will be hidden by default.
District-Wide Application
All customizations you make in the Behavior Settings apply automatically across every school in your district. This ensures consistency in your documentation practices while maintaining the flexibility to tailor reports to your specific needs.
These settings affect all schools in your district. There is currently no option to configure different settings for individual buildings.
