Portfolios can be used to display a wide variety of student work. By design, they impose very little structure, allowing the user to display and communicate their accomplishments as they see fit.
Definitions
- Portfolio: A container of artifacts. Portfolios usually have a theme defined by the student.
- Artifact: An object in a portfolio. Artifacts can be reflections, images, videos, attachments, etc.
- Student Success Artifact: A type of artifact that is tagged as part of a district’s “Student Success / POG” framework.
Why Use Portfolios?
Portfolios are an excellent way to capture growth over time. Portfolios can be shared with stakeholders. Portfolios can also measure growth towards district-wide goals (e.g., Portrait of a Graduate).
Who Can Have Portfolios?
Staff and students can have portfolios. A staff member could collect their artifacts for license renewal in a portfolio.
How Can I Access a Portfolio?
You can access portfolios via the People App and the Students App as part of the Student360.
