Abre can integrate with a student information system via five different methods. These five methods bring in the basic data (students, staff members, and schedules) into Abre, but depending on your dashboard needs, you may need to share your data directly from your SIS in an automated fashion. This typically involves building a file into our template from your data extract and automating that nightly to a SFTP server.
1. Abre Automated SIS Integration
Automate the secure transfer of Student Information System (SIS) data and Abre via a number of required and optional files via SFTP.
2. SchoolDay(GG4L)
SchoolDay is a FERPA-compliant roster provisioning and student dashboard system much like ClassLink or Clever.
For basic staff and student information, districts may leverage SchoolDay's School Passport, a secure data exchange platform. Districts easily connect their student information system to SchoolDay or upload data via csv files. SchoolDay shares that data with Abre through an API.
ClassLink is a FERPA-compliant roster provisioning and Single Sign-On provider.
For basic staff and student information, districts may leverage ClassLink OneRoster, a secure data exchange platform. Districts easily connect their student information system to ClassLink or upload data via csv files. ClassLink shares that data with Abre through an API.
Recommended for districts who are experienced with automating a OneRoster ZIP file to an Abre remote SFTP drop location.
5. OneRoster 1.1 API
Recommended for districts and schools that use a SIS that supports native OneRoster 1.1 API Integration and OAuth2.0.
