Summary
SchoolDay (Global Grid for Learning) is a FERPA-compliant platform for roster provisioning and single sign-on similar to ClassLink and Clever. SchoolDay is completely free for districts to use—no subscription required.
What this Integration Does
- Through SchoolDay’s School Passport, districts can securely manage basic staff and student information.
- Districts can either connect their Student Information System (SIS) directly to SchoolDay usually via API or manually upload data via CSV files.
- SchoolDay then syncs this data to Abre via API.
Limitations
- SchoolDay only shares basic data: students, staff, schools, and classes.
- Additional data (e.g., demographics, attendance, behavior, grades) must be exported from your SIS and uploaded to Abre separately.
Prerequisites
Before beginning the integration, ensure the following:
- Abre Data Monitoring Center Administrator or System Administrator permissions in Abre.
- SIS Administrator-level permissions in your Student Information System.
