Trust & Help
Data security, privacy expectations, and how to get support.
Is the student data secure?
Vera and Liveboards enforce role-based data access. Users can query, view, export, and share only data permitted by their roles. A shared board does not remove those protections.
Is this the same as uploading student data to a general AI chatbot?
No. Vera works with governed data models inside Abre's controlled analytics environment. Users should not copy student data into unapproved, general-purpose AI tools.
Can Vera "hallucinate" or make up data?
Not in the sense of inventing answers from the internet—Vera queries structured, district-controlled data, and it's designed to say so when data isn't available rather than making something up. It can still misunderstand a question, though, picking the wrong timeframe, population, metric, or model. Review its interpretation before acting on an unexpected result.
Can administrators see my individual questions?
Your query history is associated with your account. Administrators may have access to data within their own authorized scope and, where available, high-level usage information. The content of an individual user's questions is not presented as a general administrative query-history view.
What information should I avoid putting in a prompt?
Ask only work-related questions and include only the detail needed for the task. Do not add private notes, personal opinions, passwords, or information unrelated to the analysis. Whenever possible, describe a group or condition rather than typing sensitive details manually.
What if I cannot see data I expected?
Check whether:
- the data source is connected to Abre
- the correct data model is available
- the latest sync has completed
- your role permits access to that school, class, or student
- your question uses the correct timeframe and names
If the issue continues, contact your district's Abre administrator or Customer Success Manager.
What should I include when asking for help?
Include the exact question, the result you received, what you expected, the data model or topic, the timeframe, and any comparison dashboard or Liveboard. Do not send more student-level information than is necessary to troubleshoot the issue.
Where should I raise a privacy concern?
Contact your district's Abre administrator or your Abre Customer Success Manager. You can also contact Abre Support.
Cannot find your question?
