Getting Started with Vera

Vera helps you ask questions about your Abre data in everyday language. You do not need to be a data expert to get started.

What is Vera?

Vera is Abre's Analytics Agent. You ask a question in plain language, and Vera searches the data models available to you and returns a table, chart, or other useful result.

What's a Liveboard?

A Liveboard is an interactive dashboard that you can return to over time. Depending on your district's access, you may be able to filter it, drill into charts, ask follow-up questions, pin it, copy it, share it, present it, or export it.

What is AbreViz?

AbreViz is a tool that creates a draft Liveboard from a plain-language description. An authorized district administrator describes the board they want, reviews the draft, makes changes, and publishes it when it is ready.

AbreViz availability depends on your district's plan and your role.

How do Vera, Liveboards, and AbreViz work together?

• Vera: Ask and explore a data question.
• Liveboards: Save useful views for ongoing monitoring and sharing.
• AbreViz: Create a draft Liveboard from a written description.

A common workflow is: ask a question → review the answer → refine it → save or pin a useful view → return to it later.

Do I need analytics or technical training?

No. Start with a suggested question or write a question the way you would ask a colleague. You do not need to know SQL, field names, or how the data is stored.

Where do I find Vera?

Look for Ask Vera in the Abre experience available to your role, such as Class360, School360, District360, or Insights. If you do not see it, ask your district's Abre administrator whether access has been enabled.

Why do I see different features than a colleague?

What you see depends on your role, your district's Analytics Agent plan, the data connected to Abre, and whether a board is yours or was shared with you. Features that are not available may be hidden.

How current is the data?

Most Vera data follows Abre's standard integration schedule and commonly reflects the latest completed sync. Some data may update nightly rather than immediately. If timing matters, check the reporting period in your result or ask your district's Abre administrator.

What kinds of questions can I ask?

Ask about data available in your district's connected models, such as attendance, behavior, enrollment, grades, assignments, or assessments. Available models vary by district.

Vera cannot answer a question about information that is not connected to Abre or not included in an available data model.
