Comments and notifications on student plans help team members collaborate directly inside Student Plans. Staff can add comments, @mention colleagues, and receive notifications when there are updates that need attention.

How @mentions work
- Users are only notified if they have opted in to plan comment notifications.
- Users must have permission to view and edit the plan to be @mentioned.
- Notifications are limited to staff in the same building, Plan Administrators, and the MTSS Allow List.
Step 4: Get notified when a plan status changes
If your district uses plan status updates (for example, Draft to Completed), you can receive notifications when the plan status changes.
- Ensure Student Plans notifications are enabled (see Step 1).
- When a plan status is updated, the plan team will receive a notification based on the notification delivery method selected (in-app, email, and/or SMS).
